CCGP 2011-2012 Week 24

This was our final meeting day. We have our
closing program next week. Then the following week
we go to a retirement facility to share
with the residents what we have learned.

We praise God for giving us a blessed 24 weeks together!

Many of us are looking forward to the third
week of May when there will be a free 3 day parent
practicum in Medford.
There will be kids' camps too.
Keep checking for the details on classicalconversations.com to sign up.

The Journeymen had fun doing impromptu
speeches with items drawn out of a bag.

Most of the students practicing for the closing program:
"In principio erat Verbum et Verbum

apud Deum et Deus erat Verbum..."

CCGP 2011-2012 Week 23

We're on the homeward stretch - only one more week to go. As one tutor has mentioned, it is a bittersweet occasion. We have accomplished a goal of meeting for 24 weeks, learning over 400 pieces of information, along with giving oral presentations, learning drawing techniques, getting to know famous artists and composers, music theory and the tin whistle, and doing science projects. Wow! That's a lot! We have enjoyed our time together every week and that comradeship will be missed! Community is what it's all about and Classical Conversations gives that opportunity for families to learn together. Let's look forward to September when we will again tackle more information, but more importantly, be together as a community of learners seeking to know God and make Him known.
